My wife got me a T6C for Christmas, and all the pods will pair(Bike pod, cadence pod, foot pod) except the H/R memory belt. Yes, I’ve called Suunto. Yes, I’ve put the battery in backwards. No, it still will not pair.
It turns on when I wet the sensors and put it on, but that’s as far as it’ll go. Anybody know what could be wrong ?
when attempting to pair, do you get a message “no device found” or do you get “paired” and do later fail to receive the signal.
in the first instance i suspect an end of live battery > replace it, while in the second i suspect you have your display set to not display HR or possible the second HR (HR2) or vice versa.
I know it’s a dead issue, but in case somebody searches…
I had a similiar problem with my t4. My dog chewed the strap that came with it so i went to the local retailer and bought a new one. The new one would not pair. I called Suunto and they walked me through the process but it still wouln’t pair. I changed the batteries. No luck.
Finally a local suunto rep told me that there are digital and analog straps. I guess I bought the wrong one. The new one should be here any day.
I’ve been looking at the T6c, but can’t locate one locally. Can anyone give me any pro/con information? Size, features, problems, software, ease of use, etc. I’m interested in getting the gps pod. Thanks in advance.

What research have you done already on the T6c? Here are a couple advantages and the list goes on and on:
2 yr warranty
user replaceable battery
long battery life
you can swim with it
altimeter
autopause feature
ability to sync now with any pod including the new cadence pod
fully customizable displays
Training effect to ensure not overtraining
bigger numbers for easier reading
water resistant to 100m
the GPS pod is only splash proof (water resistant to 3m) so don’t swim with it. What kind of activities do you do?
I just recently got the GPS, Foot Pod, comfort strap and Bike pod for my older t6. I can’t seem to get the pods to connect while I am using the HR function. I have read-re-read the instructions but can’t seem to figure it out. Any suggestions?
First question, and I know it’s stupid, but have you paired all of the PODs and new comfort strap with the watch and are they all saying that the watch is finding each POD?
Next thing, if they are all paired, you said that you are not seeing it in the HR function, but are you seeing it in the Speed function?
Next, how many PODs are you using at each time (in other words, you are not using the foot POD at the same time as the GPS POD right?
Are you able to see your HR with the new comfort strap?
Please let me know if that answers any questions. You should have no problems getting them to read the PODs. When you are in the HR screen, press the lower left button and you should be able to see your speed on the display.
thanks for the help. This is one of the reasons I have always liked Suunto!
Yes I believe I am paired with everything.
I am not seeing anything in the Speed function. I try to connect to the POD but when I connect to my HR strap then it seems to override everything else…
Are you on display 2 when your trying to view the speed? Also have you setup your screen views to show what you want to see? Have you tried just riding and then syncing the data in Training Manager to make sure your pod’s are paired properly?
