Any chance we can run a pool this season?
I’m into that.
I’m definitely willing to run one if there is enough interest. Last season we only had about half a dozen interested people but I can pull up the old spreadsheet and get started.
For those who don’t know what the hell we’re talking about, last year I did a Survivor Survivor game for fans of the show (and people who want to participate). Every week you pick a person if if they don’t get eliminated that week you get to stay in the game - but you only get to pick each person once, like if you were doing a football survivor pool. I’ll fire up a thread today and see if it gets any traction before tomorrow nights’ premiere.
Ubdawg and I were the final two last season until I forgot to make my pick so he is the reigning champion.
Just to make sure I understand the strategy,
Ideally I am trying to pick the person who will get voted out next week.
This also means after week 1 if I am still in I will be down 2 survivors (my pick and the person voted out). So If I run the board to perfection, I run out before the final … oh no cause there are 3 or 4 at the start of the last night, so i would still have 2 or 3 left. ideally.

Nope - that is correct. It is rare that people have picks remaining at the end. Ideally to run the board perfectly you would choose the person each week who is eliminated the following week.
I stole this idea from another board where over 100 people participate, and it is usually easy to spot if someone has found spoilers (because they are hard to find but are out there).
