We need a ruling. I vote that bt can stay in the game as Jake was not voted out and they actually sent someone home anyway. In years past, Survior generally did not have a tribal counsel when someone had to be removed but since tribal council proceeded I say Jake’s elimination does not count for this game. Other opinions?

Haven’t watched the episode yet, but I looked at a recap to see what happened. Yikes!

I guess he stepped on the sea krait? They’re highly venomous, but not aggressive to humans. We saw quite a few on an island off of New Caledonia. There’s one under the big rock here.

I will go along with it also because as you said they also voted someone else off but usually whether your pick is voted off or gets pulled from the game you’re out. I think there should be one caveat though. If bt and another player run out picks the same week the tie for place goes to the other person because bt receives an advantage of having someone he picked being out of the game.

I thought it was very odd that when they were talking with him about it, Jake didn’t try to fight to stay. They said it was a dry bite (no venom) was injected. If that were the case, no different than stepping on a thorn or a cut from a rock or coral. I think he was starving, exhausted and wanted to go home for his kid’s birth.

Re Jake: I read he was really freaked out about it and they (medical) didn’t want him going back.
