I’m wondering how often such a thing happens in our world. Who has hit for the cycle; PR’s in Sprint, Oly, 1/2IM, and IM in the same season?
In 10 years I have gotten 3 out of 4 once.

I did it last year… but only because it was my first IM.
I did it last year. I think training for an IM helped me at all distances. Im not training for IM this year and im slower.
did it in 2003 (except the 1/2 was my first so that really shouldn’t count:))

I did it in '02, but only because those were my first four triathlons.
I’d use a better excuse if I was you. Blame your kids.
How is the family?

I cant blame my kids, their just innocent bystanders. Im just having a slow year. The kids are doing great! My daughter loves the pool, maybe future triathlete?
I thought we’d get a little more traction on this but perhaps it really is an uncommon experience. “Easier” I suppose to accomplish early in one’s career, but no less a challenge. The more years we spend in the sport and the further up the food chain we compete it probably gets harder. Me thinks it’s a notable accomplishment. Congrat’s to those who pull it off. I’m shooting to join your club.
I’d agree easier earlier in the career.
I did 3 out of 4 and probably would have gone 4 for 4 had I actually done an OLY that year.
To be honest though. It was only my second 1/2 IM and first IM so pretty easy to PR in those. Since I’d only been doing tri’s for 3 years and was doing much more volume than previous year training for the IM, the sprint came pretty easy.

Not yet. I’ll get the easier 3 this year (I think that’s probably quite common). Woulda already bagged it but for my bum ankle making me miss my first Oly.
Since next year will be my first IM, and I’m going to do at least one HIM as prep, and there are several Sprints and Olys in the area during the season that I like, there’s a pretty good chance I’ll pull that off*.
*It’s kinda like cheating for me relative to my PR’s, since I have SO much room to improve in my swim splits, I can stay the same on bike and run and still “do better” at a given race just by not sucking so much in the water. See - there is something good about being a rock - massive upside potential!!!
