While wrapping himself in an American flag, he also picked up a Finnish flag (the host nation) for his victory lap. I thought that this showed an amazing degree of humility and awareness that track and field is truly an international event. His interview (with CBC) after the 200 also impressed me.
All in all, a very worthy champion. As the French say, “chapeau”.

He is a local from here in Pensacola and from all reports by his high school coaches and teachers, what you see is genuine.
I thought his win in the Olympics was a fluke, but he’s proved himself to be the dominant sprinter in the world. I’m very impressed with him as an athlete and the way he presents himself.

What was that? I heard the ‘older’ US sprinters had a little arguement with the ‘younger’ guys? I missed that, do you know what it was about?
