Supertri Lands Warner Bros. Discovery Broadcast Deal; Will Stream on HBO Max

overall its just not good enough

that was the last bundeliga race, thats what i call a course
look at 23.30 min and 53.30 and 1.40.20 i would say the closest we have seen to kitzbuehl. and there was people watching.

i do like supertri and their course was good, as in you could stay ahead on the bike solo , but the atmosphere was piss poor and the weeds on the road make london t 100 race look good lol

in short they have way more money but it just does not translate in a better product than the bundesliga that is small budget
imagine a super tri production on a course like this …

I raced the Triple Challenge, which was a lot of fun and really exceeded my expectations. I volunteered Friday morning too. That gave me a better appreciation of the enormous logistical challenges of organizing an event of this size. It was a full weekend of triathlon!

Having seen it in person, when I was part of the Live Announcing in Toronto SuperTri in the swim/bike combo part of the race, I can see how the Team Format may work and be helpful. Some team were CLEARLY trying to load up the swim/bike. The problem is that with these short bikes courses, and no real terrain (Flat) it’s hard for a move off of the front to stick!

Looking forward to this
Brownlee going with a mostly young inexperienced team
Good to see them get a start

Nobody watched this one?

Super good for Oliver Conway

Ive literally just finished, fair play to Supertri which is the LEADING triathlon organisation/event, that has no qualms about name dropping T100 and Ironman on its broadcast!

Yep Oli Conway is starting to get me a bit excited, seems to be very well rounded, anyone know what type of background he’s from?

I had a moan about the MTR team we put out in Hamburg, he was definitely ready to be put in there!

I thought both races were great, lots of thrills and spills. Lucky for them the rain held off just enough so that it wasnt a blood bath, and I was cringing every time they went around that round about. That crash of Fanni was really weird, even on the replay I couldnt figure out what it was about.

Was too bad we were robbed of a real sprint finish in the mens, stupid penalty for goggles not in box was the only difference in the end, and probably the win..And its funny how in just a 300m swim that this leg matters more than in longer races. You see the real swimmers when everyone is really flat out and pacing is not a thing..

Best commentary, excellent racing. The only gripe I have with supertri is that race results are often affected by pretty random crashes. Other than that, it’s something I watch start to end rather than fast forward or run in the background.

This season they’ve lost a bunch of athletes, but the new arrivals are quickly introduced with all the back stories, etc.

And boy, I wouldn’t like to have Michael Gilliam as my boss, but much of the broadcast is about me waiting for the next thing he says :joy::joy::joy:

I can’t work out whether he’s being serious or some kind of parody of himself or something, he’s gold entertainment though!

Yep, really entertaining stuff. I wish they would collaborate even more with World triathlon to fit the Supertri season within the overall short course calendar and attract the best athletes. But the format is super nice to watch even if you have less of the stars and more of the young guns like Oli and the young dutch guy among others. Plus it’s a great pipeline for those young guys to experience the highest level and gaining confidence before being great at Olympic or sprint distance. Hayden being the case in point a few years ago.

And yes the commentary is best-in-class, and Michal Gillian is some kind of sociopath being given airtime somehow.

And the finals in Toulouse, with its quirky, sketchy bike course.

Sunday 5 October 2025

Men 2:09pm CEST (an hour earlier UK, 8am/5am East/West coast)

Women: 66 minutes later.

Can sign up to watch via the Supertri website. Some will be able to watch on YouTube live; those who are not geo-restricted.

Also on TriathlonLive. “The supertri season finale hits the streets of Toulouse on Sunday, with Vasco Vilaça and Jeanne Lehair in pole position for the titles”

What a race/result for Fullagar!

She surprised me. Thought she would fade back on the run. Should’ve given her the short chute.

Yep to be able to run with the three girls she did and was on the front of the bike for most of it, hope she can translate it into ITU.

Made up for Lehair winning at home, the series and the proposal!

Any findings on why Lehair didn’t take the short chute? They didn’t ask in the post race interview, or am I completely exhausted?

It was explained in commentary that she wasn’t sure she was given the SC, so she didn’t take incase she got DQ, I don’t know how they had this information though (maybe it was a guess)

My point exactly - I was hoping to get Lehair’s perspective.

Not been a great year for Supertri, but big things planned for next year…
