SUPERFROG TRI CORONADO, CA...Who's doig it?

Anybody doing this race? Sept 17, 2005!!!

I’ll have my out of bike shape butt there along with Mojozenmaster, mojozenmaster jr and desert dudette. If anyone wants to do a team desert dudette would be willing to ride.

I’ll be at Caliman, but be ready to run in the sand. Website says alot of the 13.1 is on the beach!

I’m in
.

I would say about 3 to 4 miles total in deep sand. The rest is on hard packed sand and pavement! Now, if there is a super high tide,we are in trouble!

Its a great race, Cheap entry fee, great support and the best thing, not TONS of people!

I need someone to get me a shirt from this!!!

they always have extra shirts for sale…how bad do you want one? Who are you and where are you?

G

Is this the Navy Spec War race? That rules!!!

Yes it is…This is one of the longest running races…

I would love to do that race.

Come on out!

You guys will make me do push-ups in the surf and sugar-cookie me…

only if you try to quit!

Seriously though… I would love to do that race. Not in the cards right now though.

good luck everyone, Brian,

if you quit they make you do sugar cookies in the surf

not too many DNF’s at this race

Brian had the fastest swim of the day! 4th overall in his ag

congrats dude!

That race was the first half-IM I ever did (and only the second tri in my life that I ever did). I still have the t-shirt and a lot of fond memories. Good luck doing it!

T.

we raced it today

course was great, my 2nd year of relay racing it

had a pretty good day, tough bike effort towards the end, but held a 24.9 MPH avg for the 54 miles
.

I am officially the worst deep sand runner on the forum. It toook me over 10.5 minutes each trip through the deep sand, which was only just over a mile. Then I had to play catch up to everybody who passed me. I’d caught them just before the deep sand. (You can see where this is going with a 5 lap run course)

Gary great meeting you, you looked fast out there on the bike. Very smooth.

For those considering this race, the bike course is completely closed to traffic and I saw no drafting. The run…well it’s a bit sandy.

You have a couple trophies that the director said he would mail you, including the fastest overall swimmer

You flew out of that T1 transition, I don’t know your split, but I don’t think I saw you on the course - that bike is sick

For what it’s worth my avg power was 252w for 2:10:00, 24.9 MPH

Looks like the lower position is working, but I was a little sore at the end

Shawn, the CAT 1 who races for Armed Forces, raced it on a track bike with clip ons and says he did a 2:00:00 flat!

I think I had the 2nd or 3rd fastest bike split of the day

Looking forward to getting a ringer for a runner in '06 and finally winning the relay, we got 2nd
