Who’s in for this weekend? I’m in for my 4th Superfrog! First tri of this season. Weather’s looking to be ripe for a PR! Sunny and warm is in the forecast as of now, but the ocean temps just dropped to the mid-50’s after yesterday’s howling onshores!
Be one with the wind my friend…Hopefully it wont be to bad in the wind department for ya!
I think it’s going to be fine on the weekend. Two years ago, we had wind/rain for that race. Definitely a challenging day on the bike that year!
I’m in for Super Seal again this year, first tri of the season for me.

Yea, the weather is looking good for the weekend. The wind up here was blowing 35mph yesterday and it got windy again this afternoon…so water temp might be your only speed bump.
Good luck and race safe.

Yeah Bob, I went bodyboarding at Salt Creek from 6:45-8:15 this morning and the water was pretty frosty!
I will be there in for my 2nd Superfrog. First race on the new bike!
Superseal for me. Superfrog relay for Bjorn.
I’m going to watch, I know Jim Vance is going to be spectating too.

First time for SUPERFROG or any half-iron for that matter. I am really excited.
The forecast seems that the winds will subside by this weekend for the most part-hopefully the upwelling event will stop and the water temp may jump a few degrees (wishful thinking). The outlook for swell is not so great through Sunday. I had hoped that there would be something to take advantage of, especially with the 2 lap swim.
Best of luck to all!
Last year the water was a comfortable 54ish with 5-6 foot surf…FunFunFun!!!
I’m in for Superseal, with Oceanside around the corner decided not to do the double with Superfrog. The Olympic should be about the fastest course around, wind pending. Now if only my stupid ass hadn’t tripped over my bike in transition last weekend and broke my foot all would be going well (note to self, don’t touch the front break with one hand on the bars while doing a running dismount, idiot).
Does anyone know who’s coming for the relay teams? That’s the first I’ve heard of Bjorn. I know two easily sub 4 hour age group teams who will be there duking it out.

It was windy here in HB again yesterday. Today looks like a warm day with little wind. But It’s going to blow again Thurs and Fri. Air temp should be in the 70’s.
Have a safe race and good luck to all racing.
Frog for me - 3rd time
I wrote out that my wife would be racing the swim leg on Bjorn’s relay, but she quickly informed me it was her relay and Bjorn was doing the bike leg:). Thanks to Jim Vance for finding them a fast runner too.
If he gets a flat on the bike, we will win the relay ![]()

Sorry Shane…but I bet Bjorn could double flat, their Kenyan could forget his shoes, fall sleep until Bjorn wakes him up, and they’ll still win the relay. However, the race for second will be strong!
Hope to see you out there!
