Super Dave is the man!

I have to say, I just recieved my new bike for 2004, and have been drooling over it ever since I first saw it. If that bike works as well as it looks, this is going to be a great season. The 04 Campy Record group is not only beautiful, but works flawlessly. Thanks SuperDave for extending me the hookup once again

Tell us more…like WHICH bike?

And your new bike would be…

SuperDave, our outside Felt sales rep, has come through for us again and again also. The guy is pretty impressive. He is another one of the reasons I like selling Felt.

Been reading Super Dave’s posts for awhile. He struck me as a very knowlegeable guy. Now we know why. I didn’t realize he works in the bike industry.

SuperDave does indeed work in the industry, in one of the most thankless, unrewarding and difficult positions: Independant sales rep.

Unfortunately for Dave, he has to deal with people like me. You guys know me, it is a living hell.

Despite that, Dave does an impressive job- and that is an understatement. He has walked in our store, pulled up our sold Felt bikes that aren’t delivered, and phoned the customers to update them. No other bike sales rep has ever done that for us. Dave does this when we are up to our ass in alligators trying to fit people and get bikes built.

That is just part of it. In addition to that dave is also a great athlete and a race promoter.

Like the late Michael R. Rabe, Dave consistently gives back to the sport. He is one of the guys who make this industry fun to work in.

Felt F15r w/ 2004 Record Ritchey carbon wheels
.

Sounds like a sweet bike. I saw one set up with '04 Dura-Ace at R and A Cycles here in Brooklyn and it looked very stealthy and must have weighed 16lbs max. Enjoy your bike. BTW I have an F1R from '02 (same bike, I guess, but earlier edition-reynolds, scandium, etc) and I LOVE mine. It fits me like a glove and handles really well (though it could be a little stiffer in the BB, a small problem I’m sure they’ve since ironed out).

PS after flip-flopping for several months about which new tri bike I should get, I wound up (happily) getting a Felt DA (54/700 built up with Ultegra–all I could afford now). I’m getting fitted on Friday at R and A and I’m absolutely ecstatic about it. I’ll be sure to let everyone know what I think about it after I do some riding this weekend.

I’m rebuilding my DA with the new Visiontech zero degree rise base bars when they become available. The Ritchey Aero Carbon wheels taskmaster got are turning some heads. Rim is by Zipp, black bladed spokes, Ritchey hubs. Very nice.
