Super Bike Which One

The new Boardman AIR/TTE, the new Felt IA or Trek SC? Which one is faster?

Pick:

1.) Prettiest lines/paint for your liking.
2.) Easiest to wrench
3.) Puts you in the middle of your adjustment range (can get more or less aggressive than your present fit)

All are fantastic. Margins of advantage are minimal.

All of them.

In all seriousness, I don’t think there is an answer to the question. I don’t know that they have ever been tested against each other so you are left extrapolating data from differ tests, which isn’t very reliable.

Personally, I think trying to determine which is " fastest" is a bit of a fooll’s errand…too many variables. But any of those bikes will be fast and the differences between them likely pretty minor.

Buy the one that fits you best and floats your boat the highest and then ride the snot out of it.

And I do pilot a Ducati as well (Streetfighter) and I’m a bit partial to my Boardman in matte black to match my Ducati

Each bike can be faster than the other depending on your fit, race day conditions, and equipment added to it. The differences are so small it’s ridiculous. Find the best fitting bike for you and race hard.

Boardman air9.8 for me. I love mine and as long as you love it it shall love you!

I was in your place a few months ago! I was torn between the SC, Felt DA, and P-5. Ended up going with a Plasma Premium though… For me, it came down to ease of wrenching and was able to find one that was pretty much brand new at a nice price. All the bikes you selected are pretty close in regards to aero. My advice would be to just see them in person if possible (might be hard with the IA) and go with what your gut tells you (assuming they all fit). Good luck with your decision!! New bikes are fun

EVORacer - I concur with the other comments, all are good bikes. One area I can confidently say we are excellent in compared with any others is in ease of wrenching on the bike. Everything Chris designs needs to be simple and work. Though in reality no LBS mechanics have had an opportunity to work on the TTE as it is coming out in a few weeks, the AiR/TT is notoriously well put together and easy to work on. While I expect the TTE to be a bit more involved as the integration is so significant, ease of use and ownership was absolutely something that was considered throughout the process. One quick example: the bikes have carbon piping for the internal cable routing so it is easy in and out, light weight, and effective.

Speed Concept
I have the original 9 Series and I love it. It may take a bit of getting use to working on it, but it isn’t that bad. The new one is supposedly easier. I would love to get a new one.

Also, any of the new Cervelos.

Well done, sir.

Well done, sir.

Thanks!

Tested the new S1000R - meh. Sure, 160+ HP was nice (as was the electronic cruise and suspension settings), but the L-Twin Testrastretta just snorts, barks and makes me tingle all over

You got a dry clutch on that?

Hanging just out of sight is a … matte black Cervelo P5

To the OP - I’d rec the Boardman for a style, speed, comfort, looks, price perspective though.
