True, I don't know why I watched it, knowing it was not supposed to be about specifics. When he releases his budget there will be much to talk about. Bobby Jindal was even more lame than Barack. At any rate the love-fest continues, and between a climate of fear, and high personal ratings, it's a good time for Obama to push his vision for the country.

Really, why are you surprised? These speeches are the same as the State of the Union. The President gets to say whatever he wants, no rebuttals, and members of his party stand up and applaud.
It’s been this way for years so why all the Republicans are up in arms is beyond me. I remember listening to Bush’s SOTU addresses while in the midst of 2 failing wars and you would have thought he was the second coming with all the standing ovations he received.

Good! But that was a stretch to me. Now, then again, if you shoot for the stars you get to the moon. And speaking of the moon, we had another President who asked us to make it a goal to get to the moon. We did.
It’s easy to snipe at our President. He does talk a good line- part of his job. He’s a leader. He is supposed to inspire us. He is leading by example though and making tough choices in a difficult and unpopular job during very challenging times. The man works hard, and he asked us to do the same.
So, this morning, I came in early to finish some web updates and shoot photos for our website. It isn’t what’s easy, it’s what’s necessary- and that is exactly what he said we must do.
