Does anyone have a good suggestion for memorial day week-end? something that involves lots of training, maybe a fun race, and a fun trip overall. The cicadas are coming this way, and I want to get out of this town when they get here…

I usually ride the Chippewa Valley Century (Chippewa Falls, WI) sponsored by local brewing company Leinenkugels. Beer and brats at ride finish!
Watch or ride in the Tour of Sommerville in Sommerville,New Jersey… A great bike race that at least for me captures the best of a smalltown American celebration. Great street food and great bike racing in a carnival atmosphere.
And the Cycling Hall of Fame is a couple of hundred feet from the finish line.

The g/f and I are going up to Madison to ride 80 miles of the IMMOO course on Saturday, then run the Mad City Half Marathon on Sunday, back home to do a 10 mile race on Monday. Haven’t figured out how to fit some swimming in there somewhere.
