well, now that it looks like phonak has given up on hamilton being innocent, i am quite sure that deep down, gerard is breathing a big sie of relief. Ignoring the fact that csc has more than it’s fair share of dopers (be they past or present), no one wants a publicised cheater representing their product.
If you pay attention to rider quotes, and if you listen to a guy like john lieswyn or eric wholberg, there’s a long way to go before cycling is anywhere near clean.
This is good news for cycling, now i 'd like to see the american domestic ranks cleaned up. First riders to start out with, hmm. how about chris horner or some of his old teammates.
or mabe chirs horner and some of his former teammates are about to get suspended, and mabe the tour de goergia had something to do with that. Rememebr when it seemed a sure deel that ivan was headed to discovery, i wonder what put an immidiate stop to that.
It also couldn’t be that some of csc’s riders are well known to have doped in the past, including a certain american who might be getting a silver medal.
I agree that BMC is one of the losers here. Along with Speedplay and his other sponsors. And the guy who I bet is REALLY PO’d is Floyd Landis.
Floyd is probably thinking this is the best thing that could have happened to him. Instead of playing second fiddle to Tyler at the Tour, he will most likely get to be the team leader.
Agreed, Floyd has a lot of work to do to show he is capable of leading a team at the Tour; but this has the potential of moving the schedule up a little bit if he has the ability to be a team leader.
I would believe that when he went to Phonak, if he wasn’t going with the intention of becoming the leader, he could have stayed with Discovery and rode for Lance. I think he has bigger ambitions than being one of the Discovery Train or one of Tylers domestiques.

look at the others that rode hard at the tour, and see how well they’re doing. I’m sure the tour is taking its toll on landis, beltran, and others (but not heras, cause he totally sucked at the tour.)
