i just ordered a sub-9 disc w/ PT and am stoked, but was wondering how much time in a HIM i can expect to save vs. an 808 (assuming the same front 808). i cant find a place that puts a time savings on it–rather only claiming its faster. thanks.
On the Zipp website you can play with different configurations and get a time/watt savings over a 40k course.
Realistically, it’s only going to be a little faster over most courses in most weather conditions. However, on a super windy day where the winds are causing a >12 degree yaw, you might be looking at several minutes.

true that as a fast rider the time savings are less but the watts savings are the same AND a few seconds might make a bigger difference the closer you get to the podium. compared to an 808/808 setup the sub9/808 saves 26 seconds which i’m thinking in an olympic 40K is an eternity. even at 300 W in a HIM (don’t think i’m there yet) you’d save 58.5 sec–more with a lower output. of course all these numbers are relative only as your total aeroprofile dictates your speed at any given output.
