Striders/accelerations question

I have incorporated 4-5 x 20 sec striders to 2 of my easy runs, started with 1 run last week then did another set last Tuesday. I ran tempo yesterday and my feet did not feel heavy like what i posted weeks back. I have not taken a week off/easy but still continued to workout normally except for the addition of the striders. do these really work that fast? Not that i`m complaining

No. It’s mental or overall fitness improving. While striders are good, two sessions a week a go will not make that much difference.

I also did not take the time to read your post from a few weeks back.

It was just a first for me yesterday that i did not feel that my feet just felt like they were all over the place or even feel like wooden blocks. i`m planning on doing an open marathon in september so no rides/swims lately

Try running these gradually building to 90% full effort over a :30 period. Work on good form - leg and arm swing as well as “standing tall” with a bit of forward lean. You should have a fast turnover, which forces you to shorten your stride. You can gradually build to a set of 15 X :30 (1:30 recovery) after a 15:00 warm-up and 15:00 cool-down. A great 1 hour workout.

Thanks! i`ll try to build to what you suggested. i never liked doing these before because i felt i was doing it wrong, the other day i did what you described but also more forefoot instead of mid-foot, no pain in my right knee and felt like i was floating.
