According to The Inside Triathlon Tri Guide "Turns on the swim course will be stretched to reduce bottlenecks. Anyone have a clear idea how a swim turn is stretched? Do they mean that the angle will be reduced? Will the triangular course become a circle? I’m a bit lost on what this means.

I’m hoping it means the first 90 degree turn will be farther (i.e., stretched) from the start line than last year. 500 yards was a little tight. By stretching it out the pack should be stretched out too, and hopefully there won’t be so much “mooing” going around the buoy.
