I’m new to Strava and just got a kudos on my Sunday ride from someone I don’t know, but it appears that he is an actual person who rides bikes. He doesn’t live in my immediate area and was not riding at the same place as me on Sunday. Additionally, while a good ride for me, it was certainly not “kudos” worthy. Is this common to get “kudos” from random people?
After reading this thread, I clicked on the bell notification and saw a female bot had also given me a kudos, but I never got any notification from her and it seems that her profile has been deleted. Damn.
It’s something Strava does to build out your network - have people kudo random other people, in the hope you check each other out and hit it off. I’ve ‘met’ a number of pretty cool people that way. When I first got a kudo from a dude from Saudi Arabia that was a bit confusing though…
