I never have issues wht strava upload from my 310xt however this weekend I tried to upload my S/T1/B/T2/R and while all events, maps and data went to garmin connect only the run appeared on strava. The other fields appeared as blanks- no distance times etc. Anyone experience this or know how to fix?
Delete out the files on strava. The export the GXP file from garmin connect. It probably just got corrupted in transit. However, I have issues with transmission from my 310xt more than once in a while. Never had this problem, its always a connection issue. Have to factory reset and download latest ANT agent and garmin connect plugin.

Strava updated their web interface sometime between Saturday morning and Monday afternoon.
It probably was about the time you tried uploading…
I’d give it another try too (but I only use a 220 and manually change stuff later)
Strava pooches uploading Multisport mode regularly.
It doesn’t ‘get’ transitions it seems.
As was said, upload to Garmin connect.
You can then download the 3 component segment files to Strava as a manual upload.

No problem, glad it worked out. For a few weeks strava wouldn’t recognize my 310xt anymore so I just kept exporting the files from garmin connect. It’s kind of a pain in the ass but I didn’t feel like factory resetting my device. Ultimately I get tired of the extra steps and reset it, but this is a great backup method.

Strava doesn’t actually recognize the device itself. It looks for files that are stored on your hard drive (HDD), through Garmin Ant Agent downloading from the device. To verify that the files made it to your HDD you can check via the “File” option on the Upload page and then manually navigate to the files stored on your HDD. You can either upload the *.fit file or the *.tcx file. They both have the same information, but problems can arise from the *.fit to *.tcx conversion at times. I’m not sure which one Strava looks for, but they’re both on the HDD.
I’ve never had an actual problem with Strava, it always is the pulling of data from my 310xt to my HDD, using Ant Agent where I get the issues.

Yeah I knew most of what you said. What I don’t get is why it uploads… makes it to garmin connect but strava can’t see the files. And only factory resetting the device fixes it. It’s happened to me 4 times over the course of my 310s 8 month life so far.
And it also doesn’t show any devices under “your device”… so weird.
What did you do exactly to get it to work?
I have had some issues in the past and have had to adjust my uploading sequence to get it to work. On my 910, I can simply upload the single fit file from my GE folder and it splits it up into all the legs and transitions. It worked just fine yesterday afternoon.
it won’t be too long before Garmin Communicator and ANT Agent will disappear, being replaced by Garmin Express. The rollout is already in progress and when that does happen Strava will ‘lost’ its way to the files on your HDD.

If you have already moved to Garmin Express and are finding problems getting your data to 3rd party sites, that is the reason.

I deleted the entries that did import. Went to GC and exported the files I wanted to transport. Then went to strava and imported those saved files. Like GC it didnt import as a race but instead as 5 separate events. I wish it could upload as a race with S/T1/B/T2/R but instead it’s now as 5 different activities. Whatever, at least the CRs and KOMs may be mine
