Strapless heart rate monitors, anyone tried them?

Has anyone used one of the strapless heart rate monitors? MIO makes several models that look interesting. I was wondering how accurate they are. My strap slides down on my polar running unless I tighten it enough that it feels like my breathing is constricted.

To get a reading you have to put 2 fingers on the watch and hold them there. Not exactly convenient. I tried one at the store and was not impressed.

I use one when I run. Having to keep a couple of fingers on the watch is, to me, well worth it if I don’t have to wear the strap.

My issue now is that my watch (Freestyle Pulse) seems to have lost some of its sensitivity, so I have to wait longer for the reading and on some cold mornings I can’t get a reading at all. I might change the battery or, if that doesn’t work, get a new one. I know Reebok makes one now but I’m curious to know if anyone has had a good experience with another brand.
