Storming the Bastille, Advice Needed

OT, but a friend told me Bretagne is the REAL France and very much worth a visit. By that she meant it’s not as crowded as Le Cote d’Azure, and not so watered down either. I’d like to tool around there for a few weeks as well… one of these days.

Well, it’s closer to the real France that Cote d’Azur but if you want the REAL France you go to the Auvergne. No one speaks English, beautiful rolling farm land, a chain of very old volcanoes that you can swim , bike and run in, small villages settled on the sides of these volcanoes offering magnificent views of snow covered mountains AND no people!

Damn! Hook a brother up next time you go there.

have dinner at the restaurant on top of the tour de montparnasse. 56th story. It’s call “le ciel de paris”. Usually wisest to book in advance although I always get in with no problem Ask them to get you a table next to the window.

also dinner on a boat on the Seine is a good idea.

Visit the Montmartre area. loads of street artists, good restaurants and cafes and also le sacre coeur.

biggest let down is probably going to hte cemetery pere lachaise where jim morrison lies. really unimpressive.

Oh and by the way, if you do insist on storming the bastille, then make sure you are properly armed. I can get you an ex-WWII French army rifle second hand. It’s as good as new. Never been fired and dropped only once.
