Just curious to see if anybody has raced on Stinger 90’s in a road race. I have a race coming up next Sunday, 50mi road race. The course is a pretty rolling course so I would think the 90’s would really help on the downhill. They are feather light so I don’t think they would hurt climbing either. I am just concerned about the cross wind
CSC races with 808’s…and they are just copies of the Stinger 90’s anyway.

Absolutely! Zipp is so amazing they were able to copy the Stinger 90 before it even came out!
We’ve got guys racing our 100’s in Road events. Team Slipstream has even been known to use our rear 100’s in some of their races. Just be careful with the front on high speed descents. And as mentioned, CSC has certainly brought big attention to deeper sectioned wheels. I say go for it!!
good stuff! I think I will give it a shot

Red Devil… Do not worry. Go for it. My kid has been using a 60/90 mm Stinger wheelset for road racing and has won with them several road races (and the triathlon nats).
Two of the best road cycling kids in the country he raced against this year in the 13-14 AG use Zipp 808’s and 100/100 Blackwell wheelsets. Some of these races are very technical and windy. They will smile at you if you ask them if they feel at risk using deeper wheels. Just be aware that the goal of these three particular kids is not to win their races sprinting.
But then the kid below finished in third place a few weeks ago in a tight sprint at the road cycling nationals in the 13-14 AG.

And there goes his team mate on the same race riding on a Blackwell 100/100 wheelset.
