I know it is my own fault for getting my hopes up and ordering a bike that doesn’t exist. I thought worst case scenario would be late May or June. I just hope “Spring 2005” doesn’t turn into “Fall 2005”. Hopefully it will be worth it in the end.
P3C’s do exist. We are receiving them in regular numbers now. For us, the ones we are getting are already largely sold except for a couple 56cm’s. The 54cm’s have been sold for a long, long time at our store- and they are arriving regularly.
Cervelo did a very good job with delivery on this bike in my opinion, and they continue to. It was an ambitious project.
I’m glad I got mine at Mission Bay because a certain shop owner didn’t return my emails…
Oh Snap! That had to hurt…
are the y going to change anything for the 06 p3c??
Me too. Chris Bastie are you listening??
Joel
Not that this is much of an excuse, but do you have any idea how much email/voicemail/PM messages this cat gets on a daily basis?
Remember when Julian (first started / was) stalking him aggessively through ST? It’s that hard…
When I visited his shop a few months ago I looked at the computer in his office (with permission) and was amazed at the number of new PM’s he had waiting.
If you need to order shit, call the store and talk to Mike A - you can actually find that guy, and he can hook you up with anything they carry.
That makes sense…I guess it’s a customer service issue they may want to look into…that’s their call.
Tom has discussed this before at some length. He believes that if he were to take time from (say) a bike build to answer the phone and talk to a potential customer, the client who has already made a purchase is being cheated, as his bike is now sitting idle.
It’s a rather unusual standpoint for a retailer, but perhaps it explains (at least a part of) his rabidly loyal customer base.
Exactly. Thank you for pointing this out.
Whatever works for them…like I said: “I’m glad I got mine at Mission Bay because a certain shop owner didn’t return my emails…”
.
Hey clarence,
thanks for trying. I do appreciate it. Regradless of where you purchased it, I wager you will really enjoy your P3C. They are very, very nice bikes.
Thanks Tom.
I am also still waiting for my 51 cm. I’ve ordered in November 2005!
Edit: Of course my order date was november 2004!
Not to hijack the thread, but are the P2SL frames shipping at the moment? I have that targeted as my next tri bike purchase, assuming I get a proper fit on it.
wowee u want to get yours before you ordered?
I saw one at a race a couple of weekends ago.
I too am waiting on a 51, any news or pics that they have been released? I have yet to see one. I don’t think any of the CSC riders rode a 51 as well. Looking forward to th finall TDF ITT this weekend.
Posted on the Cervelo List a month ago by Gerard in regards to someone not so happy about the shipping times of the P3C, hope this helps:
"I don’t understand that stance. We said we would start shipping the P3C
in the Spring, and we did. We did not say we would ship every P3C
ordered in the Spring, we (or anybody else) could not possibly promise
that when a model is introduced and no orders have even been received
yet. There are some small delays, we are right now 3 weeks behind with
regards to delivering the final batches, but that’s about it.
We’re shipping a new batch every two weeks, the next batch will include
the sizes 51, 54, 56 and 58. The final two sizes take a bit longer,
August (61cm) and September (48cm) respectively.
Gerard."
Finally got my 58" from Nytro 2 days ago.
