At least that is what I saw on the website. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think he will do a great job.
I hope he does well, but really, couldn’t they have found someone with a little more experience for the job?

Actually, (just one of) the things that make Steve such a great race announcer is that for ~1500-2000 of those athletes, that sheet is supplemental - he already knows stuff about them. He’ll also often mention several facts that people hadn’t put down on those sheets, much to their surprise and amazement.
Steve King is the best race announcer in the sport, bar none.
I’m confused as to why this is news. Isn’t he the announcer every year? He was great at Oliver 1/2 in June.
