I gotta’ give a shout out to AMC who won the Odyssey Half-Iron Tri today in Virginia. He did the race 2 years ago in a 5:15–his first year in triathlon. this year he was 4th out of the water (3:40 down)…powered to a 40 sec lead after the bike and ran away with it for a 4:43 in brutal conditions–85 in the water/90+ air and high humidity.
Anders is 21 and has a bright future in front of him. His coach(es) Paul Cross and Pete Reid are doing amazing stuff with him…I’m his Dad so I’m biased but the young man is getting it done!
