Tribe, need a little help picking out my new frame. I’m considering a P3SL or P3C and was wondering if anyone has fit a larger athlete (6’4", 205LB) on a 61cm frame? I’m retiring my black workhorse, a 61cm 1996 QR TeQuilo. I compete as a Clydedale in Sprint, Oly and 1/2 IM distances as well as some Duathlons. I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts on a suitable steep frame with 700C wheels.
I fit on a 61cm p2k with no problem (6’7" 197lbs, 38" inseam). 1.5 cm of spacers under a slightly longer than stock stem with about 7 inches of drop from the saddle to the bars. I have the seat post flipped to the steep position. I find it very comfortable for long rides up to 5 hours.
Take it from someone that knows make sure the head tube is long enough to accomodate the right seat to pad drop… The Cervelo’s are generally quite short in this area…
