Steelhead Roll Call/ST Meet?

I am in, who else is? Any ST gathering planned?

Quite a few posts dealing with the Steelhead swim, bike, or run have listed others who are competing (Tom Demerly comes to mind). But I haven’t heard anyone proposing an ST gathering. It would be great if you could get one organized.

I am in, I rode most of the bike course today, WTF is up w/76th street section of the course? Talk about shiety pavement! I have to imagine they are going to sweep out all the corners before the event,lots of gravel! I got to see every kind of trailer that I never want to live in!!!

Yes - 76th St is the “high end neighborhood” in south Van Buren county - I’m always wondering where in the world these people get all the old appliances and cars that sit in thier front yards! That and all the old kids toys scattered inside the fence with the “Beware - Mean Dog” sign.

We will be sweeping each corner of the bike course on Friday before the race. Philip LaHaye (St. Anthony’s RD) is our bike course coordinator - Mike Jones of Cycle & Fitness will assist Philip on the bike course this weekend.

No rain is expected this week, so we will have not problems with wash outs on the roads.

I’m in! This will be my first @ Steelhead. Too bad I missed the pier start.

Also a bit nervous about the hotel. It was easy to get into the Silver Beach hotel that is only a mile from the park! I hope the walls are still standing when we get there.
