Thanks to my wife for making the sign and my son for holding it up. Didn’t quite get the time I wanted but did PR. Don’t worry, my kids thought it stood for Hope This Fires you Up!!

Saw your wife and kids at mile 9 and even though I was having a pretty bad run it lifted my spirits b/c I just had to chuckle and say to your wife, “nice sign!”

I remember that sign very well! It brought a smile to my face on the second loop, right around the time when it came in handy.
I did recall wondering if the kids new what it meant. The fact that it was a kid holding it up made it all the better. Also liked the touch of putting “Chris” in small letters at the bottom…just in case anyone missed the humor in it.
The race over time becomes a bunch of snapshots/images in ones mind, and this one is one of mine!

i saw that sign during the run and it definitely made me laugh which was well needed at that point in time! i definitely wondered if the kids knew what it meant, classic!
