If you had your choice of a steel road frame what would be your choice? I’ve been looking at the Pegoretti Marcelo and DeRosa NeoPrima. I’m also curious if you would go with a steel or carbon fork? Thanks!
Without question. A very smooth combo. I switched to a steel training bike with carbon fork 4 years ago. I can ride for hours…plus the carbon stiffens up the front end a bit and improves handling
Independent Fabrication has some pretty nice looking stuff…

Vanilla. or maybe Sachs.
Guru New Steel…or Waterford…
The Marcelo with a carbon fork is a dream ride. If you don’t need/want custom you can find one now. Even if you want custom, the wait is only 5 months. Others have mentioned Sachs and Vanilla, but both of their wait times are significant. Another to look at is DeSalvo, his frames are very nice.
Serotta. I already have one though.

I have a Colnago Master X Lite and a carbon Star fork. It’s a helluva nice ride, but the customer service from Colnago and Trialtir sucks balls.
