Does this make sense to do on Saturday night? I plan on riding it and my wife would like to watch on Palomar. Any idea if there will be a way up the mountain for the wife on Sunday morning? Any advice would be appreciated.
sounds like a good idea. she can drive up east grade, hang out until the last rider goes by and then head back down the same way. she willl have to go early though. and i am sure it is going to heavy with traffic heading back down to escondido for the finish. if its raining that day, could be getting snow up there too!

There is plenty of parking up there. But, I would suggest getting there early. Thats what I am going to do. I was hoping to ride the motorcycle, but weather calls for more rain. Wanted to bike, but the wife and son want too go. I am going early, find a place too park, then hump it down a bit and set up shop with munchies and hot coffee…
You can google earth the area and it will give you a good idea of where to park. I am sure the resturant area will fill up early…
Parking at Harrah’s is a great idea. That way you won’t have to dig your car out of a snow drift after the race passes by on Sunday afternoon!
