Stationary Season

Cold weather is here in the Northeast. I have a trainer, but I was wondering what everyone uses to track distance and speed on the trainer? Would like to keep track of my mileage and all that stuff.

I thought Garmin made one that hooked to your wheel and your seat post and it counted revolutions but I couldn’t find it anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

Just my opinion, ignore speed and distance on the trainer, not going to be accurate and won’t translate to outdoors. I do “guesstimate” distance based on the workout, but just for logging purposes

You are looking for the garmin GSC-10 with an ANT+ capable computer or watch.
Speed and distance on a trainer will not be accurate, but can certainly be precise and repeatable if you control your resistance variables: how much you crank down on the wheel and tire pressure. In other words, you may be putting in 20mph worth of outdoor, flat-road power, but the garmin will say 15mph. But the next time you hop on and set it up the same and pedal the same power, it will still say 15mph.

Garmin GSC 10 plus trainerroad.com makes trainer rides bearable.
