Okay, sure my car is okay…but I am sick of the sound of the damn turbos…I need to sell the car and collect about $110,000.00 on top of what I can sell my car for - to purchase a Ferrari F360 F1 Mondiale - this will make my life 100% perfect and pure. Anyone willing to spare a few thousand?
You’re third in line. I’ve already posted that after Mr. Tibbs is looked after, the next slowtwitch fund is to pay off Cerveloguy’s mortgage.
This is what you really want

.
I remember the originals racing back in the mid 60’s when I used to go watch sports car races with my dad. I didn’t even have my driving license then but said I would get a GT40 when I grew up. Guess it won’t happen after all.(too much $$$$).
Naa, I would never drive an American car…and for that much I could stick with the 911 and blow the doors off of that ugly GT40.
Thats not the GT40. Its the new 2005 Ford GT supercar. It is designed to bring back memories of the GT40 but with modern world beating performance.

Heres a head to head. I am assuming you have the fully decked out GT3 911

GT3? What? No turbos in a GT3!
Please take note what the Porsche is doing with 6 cyclinders versus the 8 cyclinders on the other two cars. Now THAT ladies and gentlemen is engineering! Anyone can build a fast car when it’s nothing but engine. It takes STYLE to do it with 6. ![]()
With all that said, the 930 Turbo is still the baddest looking car on the road.
A little bird tells me porsche will have a V8 sooner than later.
They produce a solid 500 horses with that 6, but lack of torque is it’s undoing.
While I’m hip to your Euro sense of style, Record, I have to tip my hat to the retro world beater here. The GT Supercar would be in my garage. Face it, one owns one of these particular cars in order to silently say to the chap in the next lane that resistance is futile. . . you have the fastest car in that area code. Unless you can fork over significantly more dough…say…over $400k, you aren’t going to beat the GT, even if you manage to stuff some turbos in there. And if you want to retain your Euro cache…well…it looks like the Enzo is one of the VERY few options out there today. If you are going for style points only, stick with the “standard” 360 Modena. No one will be the wiser except the chap in the GT. . . ;->

I know but I’m all in favor of remakes. My best friend has a ERA 427 Cobra replica. It’s sweet.
I had a 4 cylinder that would run mid 11’s . . . Okay, it had a turbo . . . Total daily driver with air conditioning and all the amenities.
slowly chants to self,“cars bad, bikes good . . . cars bad, bikes good”
Every spring I get the fever to buy or build a something fast again, it has been passing with no damage to the finances thankfully.
The supercars are all well and good, but my $6,000 SV650 will take most any of them up to 100mph. And I could bring out the big gun, a $11,000 GSXR1000 that not even the ENZO or the McLaren could touch up to about 170. Also, either of these bikes can carry just as many passengers and nearly the same amount of luggage.

Set it up and I’m in…as long as I get to drive it.
Before becoming addicted to triathlons, I was a vintage 911 track junkie. Lemme tell you, as much as I like a lightweight german car, there is NOTHING like the sound of a Ferrari wound up to speed on the track. From the outside, it sounds like music…Only thing better is the sound from the cockpit (I was an instructor for FOC for a while…beats having to buy your own).
Cars are bad, bikes are good. Ferrari’s rock.

That HAD to be a DSM? Yes?
