I know this was discussed earlier regarding earlier TT stages, but I just found it interesting. Just a few guys on the same teams…
Kloden: normal bottle on down tube
Lance: normal bottle on seat tube
Contador: aero bottle on seat tube
A Schlek: no bottle…but a empty cage on down tube
F Schlek: normal bottle on down tube
Fabian: normal bottle down tube
Wiggins: aero bottle down tube
Millar: no bottle (i think)

Yeah, but I think the orientation of the little tab to flip the top off is important too. Did you collect that data also?
OK, I’m guilty of missing any earlier bottle placement threads, so forgive me if this has already been discussed…
But did others notice that it appeared that at least one rider (I couldn’t tell you who or from what team) appeared to have a Camelbak tube sticking out of his jersey? No bottles on his bike. I’m guessing the Camelbak bladder was flush against his body under his jersey. Pretty cool! I’m surprised more of the riders weren’t doing that (or is there some disadvantage that just hasn’t occurred to me?).

There’s always looking like a total dork.
