DAMN! How did Robbie do that??? He was way off the back with about 4k to go!
McEwen
Hushovd
Boonen
Plus he looks like he hurt his wrist on the wreck he was involved in
.
the speed at which he came to the front was amazing…
I need to see a replay! I can’t believe it.
fricken amazing
.
Just an astonishing kick from 8th position with 300m to go. Boonen was too slow to react and only managed 3rd behind Thor after what looked like a perfect lead out with 300m to go.
McEwan and Cavendish were involved in the crash 22k to the finish but the whole Lotto squad dragged them kick up just after they swallowed the breakaway. So the McEwan pack was back together before 5k to go (he just stated the team got him back with 7k to go in the interview).
The incredible thing was that Robbie does what he always does and is invisible until the last few hundred metres when he pops out and makes that win.
Hopefully, his right wrist injury is slight and we will see more of Robbie yet, could a 4th green points jersey in Paris in a row.
The guy is “Superman” - Amazing!!!
That was insane. Great finish.
Daaaaamn!!! That was amazing! I liked the aerial shot showing how fast his acceleration actually was and by how big a margin he took the line. The fact that he did this after having to catch back on and work his way through to the front of the group makes it even more amazing.
Wow. And after someone hit him from behind throwing him a$$ over tea kettle. That was a great finish!
What happened to David Zabriskie? He finished 2 mins behind the pack today.

Dave’s job was to ride tempo during the day to reel the break in. He did it and expended so much energy he was dropped from the pack. He did what he gets a paycheck for. His finishing time is unimportant, other than being fast enough to not get excluded.
Robbie was amazing! Nobody else can do what he did.
Well done Aussie!!
Top effort from the Queenslander!!
