ST wind tunnel experience? time gains?

I’m curious how many people on ST have been to a wind tunnel and tested their TT position.

What tunnel did you go to?
Did you bring your own “positioning expert- or someone you would recommend” or did the tunnel offer this service?
Approx Cost/Hour?
How many hour(s) did you think you needed to get most of what you wanted - tested.
And probably most importantly- what aerodynamic savings (based on watts- such as new position and different helmet is reducing my wind drag by 20 watts) do you think you achieved from changing your position.
Lastly were you able to adapt to this new more aero position?

Thanks for sharing…

Has no one been to a wind tunnel here? (I know Coggan has- and he’s shared his wisdom)… Anyone? Anyone? Thanks for sharing- whatever details you might want to share…

I have been, … going back tomorrow with a client

If you are 99% of the way to the top step of the podium, and want that extra edge, this is it

Multisports/Kraig Willett run the sessions in San Diego, very professional and sharp

Yes, I’ve seen the virtual improvement of some very good National Champion TT guys in the order of up to 3%, and this is for someone with a very good position to start. Also recently were able to save around 1.3% for a rider that needed just only one event to showcase the improvement and elevate from 4th to the top step of the podium.

You can get close w/o tunnel time, but nothing will get you past the rules of thumb w/o it. (countless feild tests notwithstanding)
