Dude you rock! Suspect as in I’d find it hard to believe alot of TNO’rs and ST’rs are closing in on pro times. IOW I don’t think the slow times do the efforts or athletes justice. Why aren’t you on the list?

I took the list from the bib # thread only. Hell…there have been a few new TNO’ers since MOO whose first post was a MOO RR. I would not add them.

So who were the STers that were on here talking shit prerace? Who was that orca riding slowbitcher that was giving me shit? He’s pretty quiet.

The combo of wind and heat was not only decieving but pretty brutal.
I know alot of people are looking at these results going “Man these people suck”…unless you were out there it’s hard to explain how nasty it was.
Sounds like the GFT last year, where the wind was a constant 15+mph from the East…which means it was a front quartering headwind for 80% of the bike course. And my computer recorded 85-102F temperatures even though I didn’t think it was ever over 95 or so. Times were 30-40 minutes behind where they normally were…just brutal.
I’m not in the final results and did finish. However, having had the worst race of my 10 year career, it’s OK if you just leave me out!!!
I had the fastest swim split of the ST finishers?! Damn!!
From after the race until I picked up the results list Monday I was quite displeased with my time. Then, heading down the escalator to the second floor, I realized (with help from my GF) everyone else was affected by the heat & wind (and their times were slow,too). Then it finally sank in that I really DID do well. That’s when I smiled.
Fastest amongst those that finished. Bjorn swam his ass off as did a couple of others.

Man. I would have had the fastest ST swim split of the finishers. But had to settle for the bronze over at TNO. Guess us “fat newbies” float well, or something.
