Is HL evil?
Haven’t you seen her drafting the motorcycle?!?!
Slightly pink.
Got it; I can handle that offense. Just wanted to make sure my fandom aligns with my values.
Agree that HW represents all that is good in the world.
On that note, I hope Lagerstom rebounds from Oceanside and Jocelyn finds her legs after Texas.

On the women’s side I’m clearly rooting for Jocelyn McCauley since she’s my new favorite triathlete (and Slowtwitches as well, it would seem). Though, that’s a quick turnaround from IMTX, will be interesting to see how she handles it.
Men, I’ll predict Kienle for the win, but I’ll be rooting for Benjamin Deal, as he’s another ST favorite.
Ha! Thanks! I’ll be rooting for my body to show up! This is just an experiment, never turned around this quick before. After this, 2 weeks of much needed NOTHING!
What’s been your recovery/training protocol since IMTX.
Lots of easy easy swimming, biking and running.
Monday- 1 hour swim with lots of kicking, 1 hour spin
Tuesday- 30 min swim, 1:15 ride, 30 min jog
Wednesday- 1 hour swim, 1:15 ride, 30 min jog
Thursday- 30 min swim, 1 hour ride
Friday- 15 min swim, 20 min ride, 15 min jog
Saturday- Kill it ![]()
I’ve been using my rapid reboots to increase blood flow and recovery. I also have drunk a ton of Juice Performer- Cherry juice, it has helped me sleep the tiny bit I’ve been able to with the cortisol pulsing through my body.
Best though is the 2 pints of ice-cream that I made it through, pretty sure that’ll turn anything around ![]()
I got Von Berg on the mens side, and I guess Holly on the women’s.
How many internet points do I win?
-7 for quoting yourself

a lot given that everyone else was WAY off.
Anyone know what happened to Keinle? At around mile 30 he dropped from 2nd to 8th, mechanical?
Also, seems like a pretty good debut for Ben Deal. Top 10 finish, with a pretty strong run, looks like he may have some potential here.
Also it would appear that IMTX caught up with Jocelyn on the run. I suppose that’s to be expected, seems like a tough double to pull off.

From the IM blog:
Obviously missing from that update was Sebastian Kienle. Word from the course is he received a positioning foul and served time out on course. He is now six minutes back but is riding with great intent.

Bet he’s kicking himself that he couldn’t have found a way to shave two more seconds off his time today
(he went 4:00:01 for those who hadn’t looked at the results)

Position foul while in 2nd place and a non-loop course. Oh man, I want to hear more about this one. On paper it sounds like he got really screwed, but I’ll reserve official judgment until
I hear more.
The world may not rejoice today, but that women’s podium does make me happy.
Edit: HL is a beast.

It was on the live stream about 3 minutes in - he definitely was not happy about the call - you might be able to watch the feed if it is still there

I got the Hoff and Von Berg going head to head on this one. Should be a fun finish. I would love for Kienle to win it but I don’t think it happens.
For the Women’s I think Holly Lawrence and Findlay fight it out with Holly edging her out.
Well, that’s the closest I have ever been on a prediction for St. George! Really sucks Kienle got that penalty though… Rudy is definitely the real deal. I bet he’s glad now that Wildflower got cancelled this year.

Haha. I was ecstatic to finish in the top 10 so hard to feel bad about a few seconds. Really put myself in the hurt locker to bump from 11 to 10, which I finally took with half a mile to go. Easier to do when you’re a guy between you and a paycheck is 1-2 minutes ahead for the last 5 miles.
Really happy with my run and had a solid bike for me considering the course I think. Really disappointed in my swim. Strongly believe I’m capable of 25 or just under based on pool speed but made some new pro mistakes with positioning and got thrashed for the first 3-400 meters which set me up for a terrible whole swim. Sucks but kept my head in the game and got the redemption on the run. Good news is I know I’ve got a few free minutes with everything I learned today about racing in the pro field. Super psyched for Eagleman 70.3 in June.
Thanks for the callouts and support! Means a lot and I have to agree that I “may have some potential here”. Cheers. Full race report will be out in a few days hopefully.

You looked so happy up their on stage! Congrats!!
Was a nice day, but I’m super glad this is over. That course is no joke. I’ll take my 5:38 with pride!
I saw her come up the Booya Bend - she was cranking it. Was not that far from the leading pro men. Not sure what happened later.
watching the video (never as good of a perspective as the referee on the motorbike)

-hoffman make a clean pass in the shoulder
-Kienle goes into a foul position and does not attempt much of a pass. I think it’s a bad situation but i dont really see a blocking here, shoulder was wide open, i just see a moment of inattention from sebi and the proper call most likely made by the referee.
