St. Anthony's Lodging

It’s a little early, but with registration complete, time to start think about hotel accommodations. I would appreciate any recommendations, particularly those close to the event and, if at all possible, something without a 3 day minimum. Thanks!

If you dont want to stay for three nights you will be atleast 30 minutes from the race. I guess that isnt bad, but since I live 45 minutes away I guess I will be driving up to drop off my bike and get my packet driving home and sleeping in my own bed then driving back in the morning.

Actually it’s not too early, I’ve heard that lodging is already quite booked.

Hampton Inn, Hilton Waterfront, Marriott Courtyard - they are all in the same price range. Any pros or cons?

I second the statement that it is not too early. We had reservations the night before registration opened since we figured it would get crazy once people were “in” and we were right. You can always cancel if you end up not needing them.

Well if you’re a Pro you can do a homestay with the Mad Dogs and go to all their gigs, too. If not the Hampton Inn in downtown St. Pete is nice & I believe there is a Holiday Inn downtown, too and there are also several bed & breakfasts around, so you might check the B&B Association. I would think you should be able to find something pretty easily this early.

It’s never too early. I am staying at the Radisson about 15" away. They let me book for Sat. and Sunday. Nice place and reasonably priced for that time of the year. Good luck!

Not a pro here…just a family of four that is excited to have been able to register. We are staying at the Holiday Inn Express that is a few miles up the road from the race site. Did some research and it didn’t look like the Holiday Inn that is right near the race was quite our style. Sounded like an older hotel to me.

my car in the parking lot? does that count?

Thanks for the tips. Car in the parking lot probably won’t work, but it’s an option.
