SRM Wireless Battery

Does anyone know how long th e battery in the crank last??

There is no battery in the crank, just a strain gauge.

Isn’t there a battery you have to send back to the company to get replaced? Where is that?

Roughly 1000 hours

It’s in here:

So it ***is ***in the crank. That’s what I thought.

Thanks for the link. i have to say, if I ever owned one of those things, there is no way I would ever try anything like that. You mess up and that’s a pretty expensive replacement.

I’m with you but I think there is very little in there that you could actually damage as long as you are careful about static electricity and around the strain guages… the worst that could happen is that you’d have to send it back to SRM for repair/recalibration; which, you would be doing anyway if you didn’t replace the battery yourself. Clean solder skills and careful prying!
