I’ve been using a my wireless Dura Ace SRM for a few years now. It has 172.5s on it. Anyone know if I can go to shorter crank arms with SRM (with or without sending it to them)?
I mean go shorter without replacing the SRM. Sorry, just unknowledgeable on this topic.

yes. Dura Achee goes down to 165, and SRM carries it. It would probably need to be reclaiberated. Though not as it it matters b/c you can’t just pull apart a normal DA crank and swap the parts. SRM actually separate out the spider, etc
SRM does offer the 165’s now in Dura Ace, however…it’s not as simple as switching them out. They are not standard arms, they are custom drilled to be fitted with the SRM spider. If you are a handy dandy person willing to attempt this on your own, go for it. You will probably wind up sending it to them so they can do it though, they already have the tools and know-how. It’s not a cheap system, no reason to cut corners, spend the money and have them do it IMO. Plus, they usually calibrate it for free prior to sending it back. I believe the DA arms are expensive though, like $495 or so for new arms. Call them and find out, they are super helpful if you ask.

If the SRM service center has the arms in stock, they will sell them to you and although SRM appears to have become somewhat kinder/gentler now that there are several competitors on the market, you may find the cost for replacement to be pretty pricey and recalibration will always be recommended.
