SRAM TT500 front shifter rebuildable?

Anyone know if the front SRAM TT500 shifter is rebuildable? Mine will not hold a gear…hit a bump, it shifts on its own. If the road is ruff, it shifts. Or is there a way to adjust it. It is about 3 years old and worked fine until rescently.

Those shifters use 3 internal springs. I’ve seen 2 of them break at once, so all 3 may have broken in yours. If this is the case, you have two options

  • If its under warranty, SRAM will send you a new one.
  • If not, have your LBS order 3 Campy barend shifter springs. Its the exact same spring used in the tt 500. Simple enough for you or your mechanic to install.
