SRAM TT postion stop washer

I recently bought a used bike from a friend of mine who, while servicing the bike lost the position stop washer on the front shifter. I guess this is the piece that is responsible for clicking when you shift gears, and also dictates the position of the shifter. I am having trouble locating a replacement through my LBS and was wondering if any of you had one laying around, or even a left shifter that is damaged that I could buy from you. The LBS says SRAM will not send them one and I need to buy a completely new shifter. I contacted SRAM directly and they are saying the same thing. My SRAM TT900 front shifter doesn’t click – it’s just friction.

I had the same issue and was unable to find the part. I even spoke to SRAM parts department and was SOL. I wound up getting my LBS contacting SRAM and getting a new shifter via warranty.
