Sram red quarq compact crank question

I have a SRAM Red Quarq 53-39 from crank. I want to move to compact gearing (50-36/50-34) for an event.

Anyone know if I can just just the rings?

No the bolt pattern for the compact doesn’t fit the standard crank.

Due to the 130mm bolt pattern(instead of 110mm for compact), the best you can do for a small ring is 38 teeth. The large ring can get quite a bit smaller, though.

I think you answered your own question (buy a new Quarq). But if you buy a 110BCD Quarq, your 53/39 options for that will be limited.

I’d say just buy a larger cassette.

Buy a compact Quarq, get a set of 50-34 chainrings and a set of 52-38 110mm BCD chainrings and you can swap back and forth to your hearts desire.
