CampagNOlo?

Check out this on going thread. Took my first ride on Campy Record Cranks - WOW!!

Road bike or dedicated tri? How big of a chainring are you going to run?

I rode the Sram at Interbike and will probably put it on my new Tri Bike, so you may surmize that I liked it. Word on the street is Sram will be coming out with bar end shifters also…

FWIW: I was in the LBS last week. There was a guy with the Sram on a road bike. He was telling everyone how much he liked it.

been using Force on my road and cross bike since August…I like it a lot.

Kurt

It is gonna be on my road bike, which will be used at times for duathlons (clip ons, forward-er seat/post). They both look pretty darn nice, and don’t need bar end shifters, FWIW.

I have test ridden the new SRAM Force on a few demo bikes. I really like the feel and look of it. I have small hands, and there was something in the way the levers where oriented that seemed to fit my hands better than either Shimano or Campy. Also the hoods, where I ride a lot, where the most comfortable of any hood that I have ever ridden.

I am considering a new road bike for next spring and would give some serious consideration to the new Force Gruppo.

did you have campy before the change ??

Who is losing more sales campy or shimono ?

I would think shimono

Thom

switched from D/A. Like Fleck, I have smaller hands, the ergo of the Force is awesome.

the double tap was a little odd in some tricky sections in cross, but I think any lever would have been in the same boat.

Kurt

i have both sram force and 07 chorus… both are nice although i dont really notice a difference between 07 and 06 campy

as for the sram, i think its great, i only have the derailleurs and shifters on my cross bike, i would definatley consider it on my next bike, except for the price and the fact that you cant shift down no more than one gear…

Good point about the shifting - I guess that is what (allegedly) Dura Ace is gonna have starting in '08, but for now it is just Campy I guess. Just wondering if SRAM is gonna be a flash in the pan - son’t want to get caught up in the hype…

Record or chorus? http://forum.slowtwitch.com/images/clear_shim.gif
.

I ride '03 record and '07 chorus, and the new chorus simply shifts better. Highly recommend.
