It will be interesting to see results, but it looks like someone merged a helmet from the 80s with a TT helmet with a mixing bowl. Function over form right?
wow that’s very good! the tail looks much lower (a good 2") compared too all the current top aero helmets that are commercially available (incl the Uvex, Spiuk, Giro, Bell, LAS, Limar), save for the LG Rocket and the Giro Rev6. And if this helmet is lighter than a Rocket, it makes it a very good option.
for those who don’t follow, the lower the tail relative to the forehead line, the less you have to crane your neck up to keep the tail flush to your back.
The dial is for tightening the helmet. It is very comfortable. Most everyone I know who has ever tried a Genesis helmet says that it is the most comfortable helmet that they have ever used. It certainly is for me.
Jackmott: Dimple placement: It depends on; if your considering the head as the airfoil or the head and back combo as the airfoil. You are trying to get the air to re-attach. The dimples need to be placed just past the point where the air begins to separate from the airfoil. If you can keep your back at the correct and constant position relative to the helmet; the placement at the rear might be better. Only the wind tunnel will tell you.
