im looking to perhaps podium, if not win, a local sprint in 5 weeks. anyone know any good speed workouts for the .5mi swim, 15mi bike, 3mi run? i know a few but tryin to mix it up

If you want to add a little variety: Tabata Tabata Tabata. 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off for 8 sets is the basic formula.
in the pool -
main sets like
10 x 75 above race pace … I do them on 1;05 or 1:10 and swim the reps in 48-51 seconds…
16 x 50 @ 50 best average
10 x 100 @ 1;20 fast cruise av 1:10
5 x 200 decending @ 2;45 last one should be under 2:20 if not 2:15
Just tailor the goal times/intervals to your ability. You should know every time of each repeat in a main set… that was drilled into me at a young age. If you didn’t know your time you were in trouble.
