I was sitting here at work, definitely not working, thinking about how I should graduate to something better than a combo of the CTS on-line schedule and a crude spreadsheet I slapped together months back to plan my training. I started fiddling w/ an Excel spreadsheet and thought “Why re-create the dang wheel?”
The best ones, by far, IMO, are the TriCats trilog and the TriGeek Trilog. TriCats has as much detail as one could ever want. Distance/Time (pace auto calc), resting HR, avr HR, highest HR, percent in zone, and notes. Then you have the planning sheet where you can type basically anything and everything, it auto calcs time per event, % of training goal achieved, etc. It has graphs, race logs, route logs, mileage for shoes, monthly totals, weeekly totals, yearly totals, lifetime totals, etc.
