Karen Thurig took it to the roadies and came back with a gold by over 50 seconds on a course that took her just over 53 minutes to cover!

Not sure if Thurig is a roadie who takes it to Triathletes on occasion or vice versa, but she is an awesome talent. If she sticks with tri a continues to improve her running and swimming I wouldn’t be suprised to see her break some of PNF IM records (course records, not most wins).

Actually, isn’t she first a roadie/TT’er turned triathlete? That would explain her cycling prowess.
OK Guys, corrections in this order: the steam driven Dell that I have borrowed whilst mine is in the shop inserts text into any random spaces and is responsible for the transposed time.
Two, I think of her is a triathlete since the first time I had heard of her was at IM France in 2002 when she decimated the female field with a crushing performance. If she is a roadie, she sure runs well!
Thirdly, I am home sicck with " man flu" and therefore take no responsibility for thte effect of the drugs.
