GO LEVI!!!
Levi crushed it today. I caught him at the very top of the big climb in the first mile and he looked fast from the onset. It seemed like he put time into Cancellara even at that point. Levi’s time was 30:46. 29 seconds ahead of Millar!!. It looks like he’s on his way to another Tour of California victory, barring any unforseen problems of course.
Yea I hope all the Levi bashers on this site will repent. The guy has to have the highest strength to weight ratio in the peloton. He may not be flashy or handsome but the dude can haul ass and is a very smart bike racer. He rarely makes mistakes.
Yea, I was going to say, there wasn’t too much talk on here about Levi or the ToC. And I agree, he’s not flashy, but he’s tough, he works hard and he gets the job done. 29 seconds is no small margin either. He beat both the US and the World Champion today; that’s pretty impressive!
I was really looking forward to watching it, what with 4 national TT champions and the world TT champ in the top 10 of the GC and all within 30 secs. I definitely expected it to be much closer. Cancellara, Larsson, Millar, Zabriskie…Levi really took those guys out to the woodshed!
