I have never seen a Tour blow apart like this.
It’s even more amazing considering they really didn’t attack, they just turned those pedals at a high tempo and none of the riders could keep up. You’re right Gary, absolutely amazing.
Leipheimer was never actually a real contender. He got dropped really really early on both mountain stages.

I just can’t believe that only two stages into the mountains that Levi is 10:47 back, Roberto is 27:35, and Mayo, WOW, Mayo is 45:04 back.
Ofcourse not to mention poor Jan, I think he showed some heart today even though he couldn’t keep up.

Lance is just simply amazing, I could care less what all the critics have to say about this guy because he rode all over their faces yesterday and today.
Basso certainly has been showing that promising talent as well.

Team CSC and Postal are incredibly strong and interesting considering they are riding the Tour in incredibly different fasions. Jonan and Riis are fantastic directors.

I figure if he was going to quit, he would have done it today. He got off his bike midway through the stage, preparing to abadon, but his EE teammates and/or director conviced him to stay in the race.
I figure he’ll try for a stage win somewhere since no one will care if he attacks now.
Yeah, I hope you are right. It would be a shame to seem him quit now. He showed some courage today by not giving up.
