I generally expect to see a spoiler on ST or via my work email. No biggie…I sign on, thus kinda expect it.
Today…I woke up at 5:30am to get my 6-7 hours in to be fresh for the 1:30pm VS. coverage.
Stopped at a gas station to fuel up, a group of “enthusiasts” pull up and start small talk while I’m getting ready to leave. A guy starts asking about my bike, another about my team’s kit.
The gomer of the group whips out his “neato” iPhone and starts tapping on it. A few seconds later proceeds to rattle of the results of the stage. Times, positions, overall results, etc.
I NEARLY KILLED THE GUY. I paused a loooooong 5 seconds with a stare of death and said “geez thanks, now I don’t need to be in any hurry to get home to watch the coverage”. Pissed me off so bad, I actually had 5% more power on the trip home.
AArgghh…please tell me I’m going to see something cool (but don’t tell me what it is) for sitting in front of the TV for the next 2 hours.
